Literacy Partner is a New York based non-profit that helps low-income adults, mostly immigrants, learn how to read English proficiently.

The Unreadable Books was created in partnership with 12 best-selling authors. We created unreadable versions of their book covers by scrambling the letters into unintelligible words. On the back cover, we placed information about the cause along with a customized barcode and text-to-donate option, making the book a direct donation tool.

The unreadable covers were slipped over the original ones, and were placed in locations where avid readers
usually go to find their next read.
